Tales & Trails a Teen Environmental Book Club

Description

The CREW’s Green Valley Project invites teens ages 13–18 to join us for a series of hikes and discussions centered on environmental books and the urgent issues shaping our planet.

For our third meeting, we will be discussing The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben.

Together, we will meet at the Ventura River Preserve for a hike at the Wills-Rice Loop Trail and group discussion exploring themes of forest communication, ecological interconnection, and how trees function as living communities.

Tales & Trails a Teen Environmental Book Club

Description

Together, we will meet at the Ray Miller Trail for a guided hike and group discussion exploring themes of reciprocity, ecology, Indigenous knowledge, and our relationship with the natural world.

Location: Ray Miller Trail

We will meet at the Point Mugu State Park - Mugu Beach parking lot and then head over to the Ray Miller Trail. Parking costs $3 an hour. If the fee is a barrier, please let us know - we’re happy to cover your parking.
